Instructional Program Overview & Grading
- Your student will attend classroom instruction one day per week. They will have a teacher who will convey subject concepts to your student child in a fun classroom setting. The elementary student will have very little homework. Jr. high & high school student will have at least 3 subjects that are all-inclusive. The teacher will send your student home with assigned text book and / or workbook assignments to complete under your supervision; continued instruction and tutoring to be completed at home during Wednesday through Monday.
- In this manner you are retaining the freedom of running and administrating your own home school while additionally receiving the services of a school administrative program, such as live teacher-student time, group classroom activities, textbooks (on loan from APS) and workbooks.
- Classroom instruction on Tuesdays will lend itself to parent-directed, self guided study and completion of assigned homework during the week which may be graded by parents.
